Testing safer autonomy in procurement AI

PayReality is working with procurement AI vendors to test a simpler question: when an enterprise customer changes the commercial boundaries an AI agent operates within, can the vendor clearly show what changes, test the impact, and obtain an approved release record before the new rules govern agent behavior?

This page describes an early discovery programme. It is an unvalidated hypothesis we are exploring with design partners, not a claim that this capability is already deployed, proven in production, or in use by existing customers. Procurement AI is the first place we're testing this, not the company's final category: PayReality's broader focus is authority and accountability for autonomous enterprise actions in general.

Each enterprise customer has its own commercial rules, approval thresholds, supplier restrictions, legal triggers, exceptions, and limits.

What we're exploring with design partners

Working, unvalidated hypothesis

This may draw on capabilities from PayReality's broader authority platform: machine-readable authority rules, deterministic policy evaluation, policy versions and lineage, approval binding, evidence of why a given rule version governed an action, change-impact and delegation-revocation logic, and execution receipts reconciled against what was actually authorized. Whether this specific combination is what procurement AI vendors actually need, in this shape, is exactly what design-partner conversations are for.

PayReality does not currently replace your procurement platform, your ERP, your identity provider, your workflow engine, or any agent-runtime enforcement environment you already use. It does not independently block every agent action across every enterprise system. Where PayReality's authority decisions are enforced, that happens at an integrated enforcement point you control, not inside systems PayReality has no access to.
